Prayer Before the Rosary
Blessed Mary, always-Virgin, holy Queen of the Rosary, thou deigned to reveal the secrets of grace, hidden in this Rosary, to the three shepherd children at Fatima. Inspire my heart with love for this devotion.
I pray that thy Son will send His grace to help me
understand these Mysteries,
take them to heart,
and so rely on them each day.
In this fashion, and by this devotion,
shall Catholics obtain:
-
world peace to thy Son's Justice,
- conversion of this world to thy Son's Truth,
- conversion of the people of Russia, through proper consecration,
and shall I obtain the favor I ask in this blessed Rosary.
- {offer your request}
This I beseech
for the greater glory of thy Son,
for thine own honor,
and for the good of souls,
and particularly for my own.
Amen

The Creed
I believe in one, true God, The Father, Almighty; Who created heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, The Only Begotten Son of God; Who was Incarnate by the Holy Spirit, was born of the always Virgin Mary, suffered at the hands of Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, was buried, and descended into hell.
And on the third day, as foretold by His prophets, our Lord arose from the dead; and ascending into heaven, He sits at the right hand of God, The Father, Almighty; whence He shall come, in ineffable glory, to judge both the living and the dead.
I believe in God, The Holy Spirit, in one, true, holy, Catholic, Apostolic and Roman Church, in the communion of saints; in the remission of sins; in the resurrection of the body; and in everlasting life. Amen.
Apostles Creed
(Symbolum Apostolorum)
|
| |
I believe in God, The Father Omnipotent, The Creator of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord; Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell. On the third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven, seated to the right hand of God, The Father, Omnipotent, whence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.
|
|
Credo in Spiritum Sanctum; sanctam Ecclesiam Catholicam, sanctorum communionem; remissionem peccatorum; carnis resurrectionem et vitam aeternam.
| |
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the remission of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting.

The Ascension
This decade, in honor of Our Lord’s Ascension into heaven, I offer for the souls in Purgatory, and ask Our Lord, through this holy Mystery and by Our Blessed Mother’s intercession, for the Virtue of an overwhelming desire for heaven that is plainly evident in all that I think, say, and do.
Our Father
(Oratio Dominica | Pater Noster)
|
Pater noster, qui es in caelis, sanctificetur nomen tuum. Adveniat regnum tuum. Fiat voluntas tua, sicut in caelo et in terra.

Thy Will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us, this day, our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses as
we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Hail Holy Queen!
(Salve Regina)
|
Salve Regina,
| |
Hail, holy Queen,
|
|
Mater misericordiae;
Vita dulcedo, et spes nostra, salve.
Ad te Clamamus exsules filii Hevae;
| |
Mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then most gracious advocate thine eyes of mercy toward us. And after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
|
|
O clemens, o pia, o dulcis Virgo Maria.
| |
O clement! O loving! O sweet Virgin Mary!
|
|
Ora pro nobis, Sancta Dei Genitrix. Ut digni efficiamur promissionibus Christi.
| |
Pray for us, most holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
|
Prayer After the Rosary
|
| |
O God, Whose only begotten Son, by His Life, Death, and Resurrection, has purchased for us the rewards of eternal life, grant, we beseech Thee, that meditating on these Mysteries of the most Holy Rosary of The Blessed Virgin Mary, we may imitate what they contain, and obtain what they promise; through the same Christ, Our Lord.
